The Old University Union came alive with the colors and styles of CSU East Bay during the afternoon of Wednesday, Feb. 2 when this year’s Pioneer Pride Fashion Show took place.
The contestants, ranging from first year undergrads to alumni, participated as models, showing off the latest clothing available for purchase from the Pioneer Bookstore.
Several styles were viewed as each model stepped on stage—from the sweatpants featuring the school’s name running down the side, to the newest bright-colored hoodies, to attire showing off the year the school was founded, and even attire that a fellow Pioneer alumnus can wear.
In addition to showing off what’s new in the Bookstore, a few models from “Project East Bay” also made an appearance in the fashion show, displaying their altered versions of the Pioneer attire. One example of such is one model who came out wearing a dress that was once a sweatshirt. Another model became a little creative by using CSUEB lanyards as handles of a purse.
The entire fashion show was quite a sight to see. The winners will be announced at halftime at the men’s basketball game tonight at the Pioneer Gym.
