Rotary District 5170 brought Bay Area Rotary Club leaders together for its Mid-Year Leadership Celebration in Fremont last Saturday. The event, themed “Lead with Vision. Serve with Heart. Leave Your Mark,” focused on recognizing achievements in humanitarian service of various Rotary clubs in the district, igniting momentum for the second half of the service year.
The event also featured cultural dance and music performances by youth from communities across the district. Hayward City Councilmember and Hayward Rotary Club President Francisco Zermeño met with young performers of Mariachi Ilusión from Watsonville and commended them for their musical talent.
