As the Summer Quarter comes to a screeching halt and corresponding demands disappear, there’s a good chance that students may find themselves with time on their hands, and little or no expendable funds for entertainment.
All is not lost. There are still two chances to partake of The City of Hayward’s Summer Concert Series, 2010. The music and parking are both free, and that’s a price that can’t be beat.
Stay Away Joes and Jack ‘Da Hat’ Luna will be performing on the Plaza at City Hall on Friday, September 10th, at 5:00 and 7:00 p.m., respectively. There will also be a performance by Chabot College Jazz Orchestra on September 24th, at 5:30 pm.
Even though Cal State East Bay will technically be back in session by that date, the weight of classes and homework will not have seriously settled in yet.
The City of Hayward Chamber of Commerce has presented local talent in this venue for the summer, at no cost to the entertained.
