Men’s Basketball: The California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) announced on Monday that Mark Samuels has been named the CCAA player of the week for the week of Feb. 13-19. Samuels lead the Pioneers to three wins averaging 17.7 points per game, helping the Pioneers keep their postseason hopes alive.
The Pioneers swept their weekend competition at home, defeating CSU San Bernardino on Friday night, Feb. 17, 74-72 and then winning against UC San Diego the following night by a final score of 83-71.

This week, the Pioneers seek to continue their push towards the playoffs in must-win games against CSU Stanislaus tonight, Feb. 23 and tomorrow night against Chico State.

Water Polo: The Pioneers were unable to pull out a win against Santa Clara on Saturday, Feb. 18 after defeating Cal Lutheran the day before.

They find themselves with a 4-6 record heading into the weekend where they will host CSU Bakersfield on Saturday, Feb. 25.

Baseball: The Pioneers played a four-game series against Northwest Nazarene University over the weekend where they dropped three of four games over the course of two days, finding themselves with a 5-4 record.

The Pioneers seek to bounce back as they will face Sonoma State in another four-game series.

Softball: It was a tough weekend for the Pioneers’ softball team as they dropped all four of their games over the weekend against CSU Dominguez Hills in a four-game series, lowering their record to 7-7.

This weekend, the Pioneers will face Sonoma State for a four-game set.
