Kokyo Sushi Buffet

Kokyo Sushi Buffet, one of Hayward’s newest eateries, offers generous portions of food at prices college students can afford.

Low prices, great quality sushi, and friendly customer service makes this restaurant a must visit.

Located in downtown Hayward at the corner of Foothill and B Street, the sushi buffet has become a hotspot for CSU East Bay students.

Kokyo’s location makes it easier for students to pick up great sushi after campus eateries have closed.

Though sushi has been offered on campus in the past, options have always been limited and campus-dining hours don’t always fit every student’s schedule.

The restaurant’s wide variety of sushi rolls outshines the sushi offered on campus and gives students confidence that their sushi is fresh.

In addition to tasty sushi, Kokyo has a friendly and entertaining environment.

Students say Kokyo has made it easy to find a nice place to eat with friends.

Prices at the sushi buffet range from $8.95 for lunch to $15 or above for dinner.

Wingstop

Who doesn’t love delicious chicken wings that are ready to eat within 14 minutes?

Also located on B Street in Downtown Hayward, Wingstop is the number one quick stop to pick up chicken wings, strips, and nuggets for CSUEB students.

The restaurant’s pickup or dine-in option caters to customers on the run or looking to enjoy a sit-down meal.

With two locations in close proximity to the university, it’s not uncommon to see fellow students snacking on food from Wingstop.

Though Wingstop isn’t the healthiest option, the franchise has recently made changes to its menu to allow customers the choice of breaded or fried chicken.

Wingstop’s diverse menu offers customers the choice of several different flavors of wings, including barbeque, garlic-parmesan, Cajun, lemon pepper, atomic, original hot, mild or teriyaki.

If patrons can’t make a decision between two different flavors, Wingstop gives them the option to go half and half.

Prices vary depending on what style chicken the customer prefers.  Chicken strips seem to be the highest priced items on the menu.

In addition to the array of wings the restaurant offers, the atmosphere allows customers to kick back with friends, watch sports events, and enjoy hot and delicious wings.

Chipotle Mexican Grill

Chipotle Mexican Grill has become a growing favorite among students on campus and is one of the healthiest fast food options in the Bay Area.

Located in Castro Valley about ten minutes from the CSUEB campus, Chipotle provides customers a calorie list of all their menu options and prepares your meals right in front of your eyes.

Despite the slightly longer commute from the university, this affordable and great tasting Mexican food is worth the drive.

Chipotle’s wide range of menu options provides a customized choice for everyone.

Catering to different taste buds, the menu offers customers burritos, tacos, salads, burrito bowls, and vegetarian options.

Chipotle is open until 10 p.m., which allows plenty of time for students and their friends to go out to eat.

In a modern world based around technology, Chipotle fans can now order online or via iPhone.

Dining at Chipotle couldn’t be any easier.
