Letter to Editor(s)

Dear Pioneer Editors,

As a former CSU East Bay graduate, with my own child just entering CSUEB as a freshman, I am happy to say I am incredibly impressed with the way the paper has grown. Last week’s edition was incredibly impressive, especially the front page. The three stories were interesting and very well written. The paper has evolved from a somewhat tacky and feature-like paper to a professional college paper. I especially enjoy the editorials on page 2. It is great to see students so involved with their world and actively thinking about it. In response to [the Letter to the Editor published in the Nov. 3 issue], I think having a concert on the front page definitely appeals to a different reading demographic, so I disagree with that letter. I think the front page should attack all demographics, and it seems to do so currently. I appreciate the reporting in the East Bay, especially Hayward. I’m glad to see my alma mater making an effort to report great stories in the community. My daughter says she reads the paper in between classes and I am always excited when she brings me home a copy. In the end, this letter is a pat on the back to what seems to be a lot of hard work and creativity going on. I applaud you all, and wish you good luck for what only appears to be a continuation of a much needed edition to our community.
Regards,
