Dear Pioneer,
I am a new transfer student from Laney, a junior and for the last month I have done nothing but read articles about how students here are not involved in the school or how the ASI is not doing its job. This President’s Town Hall is a prime example, I would have loved to have gone but I found out about it the day after the first one and had a dentist appointment during the second. Little effort was made to let students know this was happening. Not even an e-mail from the president. Believe, me if Dr. Webb were having a Town Hall at Laney, we would all get e-mails and there would be posters all over campus, weeks before. How can we, with our busy schedules, add something in at the last minute? I plan my days down to the hour. I am a political person and am interested in getting involved but not as long as the people running things seem so inept at getting the message out. Do we even have a Twitter account about events? I would follow it, Facebook is too cluttered for me.
Thank you,
Janelle Tassano
