I’m writing to express my appreciation for the continued efforts of The Pioneer in covering campus related news and especially for increasing awareness to the Associated Students Incorporated (ASI) and the events relating to the ASI elections.
After reading the article regarding campaign practices printed June 7, 2012, I felt it was necessary to provide additional information and confirmation to add to The Pioneer’s coverage of the elections. The article addressed the specific point of whether any member of A C.L.E.A.N. Slate had paid anyone for votes. I would never do this nor would I condone similar actions by anyone connected with the slate. I’ve since spoken with every one of the members of the slate and can state that no one participated in such an activity and were equally dismayed by the article. I hope this ends any ambiguity on this point.
