The California State University, East Bay women’s cross country team placed third in the National Collegiate Athletics Association West Regionals in Monmouth, Oregon on Nov. 9. This race proved to be a historic one for CSUEB, as sophomore Angie Ronquillo set a new program record after crossing the finish line with a time of 21 minutes and 3.6 seconds in the 6-kilometer race. With this result, the team has qualified for the NCAA Championships in Sacramento, California on Nov. 23.
