Coachella 2019 inspires fashion trends

Top fashion trends at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California were eclectic and whimsical and attendees dressed as if the desert valley soirée was the largest runway spectacle of the century.
From the traditional vintage chic boho festival wear to futuristic effervescent sheer jumpsuits and dresses, everyone seized the moment to express themselves with daring pieces.
Last year, it was an over-the-top statement of name brand fanny packs worn in unique styles around the body and eccentric menswear jumpers and crop tops.
This time around, Coachella fashionistas made bold statements of mesh ensembles, crochet separates, and cowboy boots. Accessories were not forgotten and beautifully showcased, from elaborate headdresses to chunky platform boots.
A mix of neon and pastel mesh midi and long bodycon dresses were this year’s staple piece to kick off summer. Another favorite worn by many festival goers were separates worn in a variety of prints from floral to crochet crop tops with shorts, trousers, or skirts. These are a simple statement piece that can be dressed up or down and is great for spring and summer.
Last but not least, the inspiration of Lil Nas X’s song, “Old Town Road” was lingering in the desert air as everyone seemed to receive the memo to bring out their white cowboy boots and rhinestone trimmed hats.
Coachella reaches new heights with top headlining artists and continuously sold out shows, but it seems like the main highlight of the music festival are the top fashion trends. It is no longer only about who will be performing in the music lineup but more so who is rocking the latest fad as if it were a pre-summer fashion show.
