To celebrate 100 years of conserving California’s redwood forests and to encourage people to reconnect with nature, the California State Parks department and the Save the Redwoods League offered free parking passes to redwood state parks throughout California during their Free Second Saturdays event on November 10, 2018. The passes were available online through the Save the Redwoods League’s website. One of the state parks that participated in this event was Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, located in Felton.
