The Hayward High School Marching Band and Color Guard are excited to be performing on the Main Street at the Disneyland theme park in Anaheim in May this year.

After ranking superior in California Music Education Association (CMEA) Festival, the band director music program at Hayward High, Nick Tocco, rewarded the students by sending in the application last November for the band to be able to go to Disneyland and perform.

The trip includes three days in the park, a march down Main Street and a soundtrack session where the band gets a chance to record a soundtrack from a Disney movie in the famous Disney studio. The total cost they are looking at for this trip is almost $600 per student.

Students are selling chocolates and having events at the school’s gym to help raise funds for the trip. Ultimately the parents have to make up whatever cost they can. The Hayward High School Marching Band and Color Guard have a donation page https://www.gofundme.com/hayward-high-music-fieldtrip
