It’s not déjà vu.

The 2016 California Collegiate Athletic Association women’s basketball conference championship game will be a repeat of last year’s after Cal State East Bay and Cal State Dominguez Hills won their semifinal contests on Friday.

CSUEB (26-4 overall, 18-2 conference) defeated the UC San Diego Tritons (24-4, 18-2) 79-77 in an overtime thriller at Stockton Arena. Leadership and experience took over for the Pioneers, their top six scorers in the game were all seniors. Senior guard Madison Craig led the way for CSUEB with a team-high 16 points.

East Bay will take on the Toros, Saturday at 7:35 p.m., who beat Cal State San Bernardino (14-13, 10-10), 77-71. In last year’s conference championship game the Pioneers lost to Dominguez Hills 76-57.
