Hello, my name is Adam Michael Quinne. I am a graduate student in Marine Biology at San Francisco State University and I am taking the time to write this email or letter to you to thank you for publishing an article about same sex marriage. The article by your Editorial Editor, Rishi Khalsa, was not only excellent in presentation and writing, but emotionally endearing. I live in Oakland and I came across your paper on BART, and I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of articles in your paper. Props to you and your staff for taking your work seriously, it shows. But back to the same sex marriage article, it was great to see the facts he brought to contradict many Republican candidates, or opposition party’s speculation about homosexual marriage. As a straight man whose brother is gay and is just as serious about his boyfriend as any straight person who would be, basically I am so happy to see a student publication so accepting of other cultural groups and inviting a professional dialogue on the topic of marriage or any other. Thanks on behalf of my family and I look forward to reading The Pioneer more in the future.
