The San Jose Earthquakes beat the LA Galaxy in the first Cali Clasico of the season at Stanford Stadium June 29, 2019. The Quakes were able to hold visiting LA, lead by Zlatan Ibrahimovi, to an incredible 3-0 with Vako and Shea Salinas scoring and Tommy Thompson forcing a deflected own-goal. The Earthquakes visited LA for the second Cali Clasico of the season on July 13th and again claimed an impressive 3-1 victory over the Galaxy. Vako found himself on the scoreboard again, this time accompanied by Danny Hoesen and Jackson Yueill. San Jose plays their next regular season home game against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday July 27 at Avaya Stadium.
