  • If you are from Stockton or watch U.F.C. then you will know who this person is and his famous saying “I’m not surprised”. I had to end it off with Stockton's hometown hero this was put up after he beat Conner McGraggor in a U.F.C. match and Stockton was put on the map. After this was put up that’s all people talked about and brought so much happiness and pride to the people of Stockton and everyone celebrated and were happy just to see one of their own had made it from this dark and negativity of a place. This man is Nate Diaz a Stockton native who grew up here his whole life and he still lives here and you can always find him hanging out in the Stockton. So as you can see The beauty behind the beast and what this city is about and what it has to offer.

  • Downtown at night has a beautiful site to it before it was not a good place to take a stroll down but as time progressed it became nicer place. Before it was to dangerous to be at but they added some more lights to the street open some more night things to do and police patrol it became a place people wanted to be at, at night.

  • Some art work has inspirational words this might not mean much to people not from here but Tim was a man that helped bring positivity to the city before being killed in the city but he always lived his life by trying to make this city a better place to live, that’s why it says LIVE LIFE LIKE TIM. I don’t know him to much but he was known for bringing a better image to the city.

  • The main Downtown area of Stockton where everyone comes out mostly the weekends though to hangout, watch movies, and eat sushi. This movie theater is a regular hangout spot for most Stockton people like to be at. People come down here to this area and have little drum circles, street performers, and just bring something new to look at and enjoy here in this town.

  • This is some more of downtown because you can see it is going under some construction because this city is being reinvented there is some empty slots there where old building’s use to stand but were torn down so new ones can be put up with a new restaurant or a pub because they city is trying to become a tourist attraction for people and make them want to come and visit Stockton.

  • Here is one of my favorite artworks because it was one of the first art works put in the downtown area of the city and where people from all around the city poor or rich came down to just admire this and to me believe put the first sign of hope into this city and it’s people. They had so many events with a lot people here at this spot to just hangout and admire the art.

  • The reasoning for this one is this view you can look and see the poverty area of town but it’s hard because of all the trees but it over looks the whole area well one part, which is the eastside of town where I’m from. The big building in the picture plays a big role to because it’s been in the city for decades its history is still unknown to me and it is the oldest and tallest building in the city. So every time you look from the eastside of town you can see that large and historic building that with stood so much. It will be rebuilt in the future into a loft for people to live in because of the history people do not want it gone but reinvented. (p.s. it use to be a dentist office well one part of it)

  • The Delta that leads to the bay area and the ocean where it is all connected with one another where people like to go out and fish. This water use to be so polluted and dirty but after the city started to go through it’s changes they cleaned it up for people to walk by and enjoy and every 4th of July they have firework shows near the water.

  • This photo represents 2 major things. One is that I took this photo because the kid in the street dropped all his papers in the middle street and the man next him ran out of his car in the street to just help this young boy get all of his papers and so he doesn’t get hit by a car. Second is that as you can see in the background of the photo it is downtown Stockton where the magic begins because you are slowly exiting the poverty area of the city and seeing a transition.
