Sonia Waraich’s article Upcoming Accreditation Propels University’s Assessment Reforms (9/25) was a remarkable piece of reporting and deserves special attention. Using her own research, Ms. Waraich has comprehensively described an important, yet complicated process.
The writing is clear and accurate and the graphic expertly conceived.
Our faculty has undertaken the work of collecting samples of student work for a secondary review to honestly examine whether the curriculum is delivering what has been promised to students (expertise in our Institutional Learning Outcomes). This is an important effort and shows the depth of commitment our faculty has to refining the curriculum and constantly improving instruction.
Ms. Waraich’s piece does an excellent job of describing this process and is greatly appreciated.
