Halloween Hot Spots

“When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, ‘tis near Halloween.” It’s that time of year to pick out the costumes and party it up. Halloween is here, and being in the Bay Area makes it even better.

With Halloween club parties throughout the Bay Area scene, there’s a wide variety of places to make this year’s Halloween festivities memorable. San Francisco hosts most festivities in the Bay Area. Ruby Skye, a premiere nightclub located on Mason St. in San Francisco, is known for their great dance music and attracting large, diverse crowds.

This year, during All Hallows’ Eve, Ruby Skye will be transforming their club into “Club Blood,” looking to captivate club-goers by transforming the venue’s atmosphere to fit its Halloween theme of mysterious, sexy vampires. Pioneering West Coast DJ Dan will be showcasing his talent, along with the #4 top-ranked DJ in the world by DJ Magazine’s prestigious list, Christopher Lawrence. For $45, party-goers can enjoy drink specials and see some of the most renowned DJ’s.

Next on the Halloween hot list is Suite One8One. Known for their top DJ’s and hot music, people are constantly attracted to this club. The environment of this club is for party-goers looking to have a great time. This year, Suite One8One is celebrating Halloween with a bang. Hosting a Halloween ball with the clashing theme of Heaven and Hell, the event’s title itself foreshadows a good time. With crazy costumes, great dance music and a variety of people, Suite One8One never falls short of a good time. General admission is $11. Come dressed to impress and enter to win a $1,000 cash prize for the naughtiest, or funniest costume.

In the South Bay, Club WET in San Jose on South First St. will also be having a Halloween-themed party.

Club WET is known for their unique water-themed venue and weekly star-studded guests, attracting people from all over the Bay Area. This Halloween weekend, Club WET is kicking off their Halloween festivities on Friday, October 29 with DJ Don Lynch hosting “The Land of the Jigsaw” themed Celebration.

DJ Don Lynch, a Bay Area native, has been showcased in all of the top clubs throughout the country, and knows how to mix music and have a great time. Admission is $15 and dress code for the event is your best Halloween costume. Come prepared to dance the night away, sip on drinks and have a good time because Club WET is sure to make your Halloween a splash!
