As reported by The Pioneer last week, The Palace Casino is a highly frequented attraction located on Mission Boulevard. The armed thieves tied up the owners of the home and covered their faces. Livermore police aren’t releasing details, but as the Contra Costa Times reported, it’s assumed that the victims are the owners of The Palace Poker Casino in Hayward, on Mission Boulevard. While there has been a recent string of home invasions in Livermore, police said that this was an isolated incident.

Fremont: A woman was found dead inside her car in a parking garage near the condominiums off of Civic Center Drive and Walnut Avenue on Wednesday morning. Police and fire crews originally responded to what they thought was a hazardous material situation, but when they approached the car they found a woman dead in her back seat, with a sign on the car that read “poison gas.” The police believe it may be a suicide, but there will be an autopsy to confirm this. The woman’s husband told police they had been experiencing marital issues and he had not seen her until he found her in the car.

Oakland: A small fire in the attic of an Oakland home led firefighters to discover a marijuana growing operation on Monday. When firefighters arrived on scene around 5:30 p.m., they found most of the marijuana plants being burned up in the fire. The blaze was put out and crews were on scene for roughly two hours. KTVU talked to neighbors who said they were unaware there was an illegal operation happening right next door.

San Leandro: Two suspected gang members were arrested in San Leandro after they were seen spray-painting graffiti on supports pillars of the BART system. The two were arrested without incident in the 1600 block of Gardner Street.
