Softball
Taylor Neumann, Sara Holdridge, Talia Ferrari and Devin Salmones became the first Pioneer softball players to earn All-CCAA recognition, with Neumann and Holdridge earning first team recognition. The two were also named to the 2012 Daktronics Division II All-West Region teams and both earned recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Ferrari earned second team recognition and Salmones earned honorable mention.

Catcher Neumann finished the season with 16 homeruns, which set a new single-season program record, bringing her career total to 23, which also sets a new program record. She hit .314 with 42 RBI and scored 33 runs.

The senior led the conference in slugging percentage with a .794 average and ranked sixth in on-base percentage.

Neumann also earned CCAA player of the week honors twice in her two-year career with the Pioneers.

Holdridge was second on the Pioneers in batting average, hitting .365 while leading the team in slugging percentage with a .732 clip, ranking fourth in the conference. She drove in 45 runs while having hit for 13 homeruns this season, good for second in CSU East Bay history.

The junior also collected player of the week honors this season.

The Pioneers closed out the season in sixth place in the CCAA with a 17-19 conference record and a 31-24 overall record.

Baseball
Pitcher AJ Gallardo was named the 2012 All-CCAA Second Team. The senior started nine games for the Pioneers this season earning a 5-1 record with a 2.63 ERA along with three complete games against UC San Diego, CSU Stanislaus and CSU Monterey Bay, ranking him third in the CCAA.

In 51.1 innings, Gallardo allowed 50 hits, 15 earned runs, walked 16 and struck out 33 conference hitters.

The Pioneers finished in tenth place in the CCAA with a 12-26 conference record and an 18-30 overall record.
